Tullah

Tullah is next to the beautiful Lake Rosebery, Tullah sits beneath the 712 metre Mt Farrell, often shrouded in mist & named after Thomas Farrell, hotel keeper, farmer & part time prospector who in 1892 first discovered the silver-lead ore that the town was established to mine

Just love these wood heaps, all the houses have in Tassie

Teddy bear house, went in & had a look at all the teddies

These days, after an easy drive along the Murchison highway, it's difficult to imagine that until 1960's, the only mechanised access to Tullah was by the two- feet gauge Tullah tramway that ran as a siding off the wonderfully named Emu Bay railway

The "Wee Georgie Wood" steam loco, unfortunately doesn't run anymore

We camped down by the lake & even went for a swim.
Water a touch chilly
