Spion lookout is a steep walk to the top for amazing views over Queenstown & the bare mountainous range for which it is renowned
Someone's wood pile, just waiting for winter!!!!
Blessed with some sunshine this afternoon, so the views were great
Famous Gravel oval
Bare mountains, though the other side of town has been replanted
& there is plenty of trees etc on the hillsides
I remember coming here 25 years ago & it was a very sad sight to see all the mountains so barren
Penghana the imposing residence on the hillside was built in 1898 for the General Manager of the
Mt Lyell Mining & Railway company
