Bronte Park

Bronte Park is an old Hydro village from 1947

Bronte park is almost exactly at the geographic "dead centre" of Tassie
Once with a police station, post office, school, cinema, hospital, dairy, church, it is the general store that has traded since 1950's which has outlived the rest & still trading

Bronte Park has been resurrected as an oasis for dedicated anglers

Single men's quarters

All the houses have names from the countries that the workers came from after WW11

This tree is now just a pile of firewood

Inside the original mess, now the pub

Hall to accommodation rooms

Lounge

We were going to stay @ the campsite until we saw the "rednecks" in for the weekend, either trout fishing or deer shooting
