When wood sculpture Greg Duncan, visiting from South Australia, first saw Derwent Bridge, he had the strong sense that this was where
he should live.
In 2005, Greg started a monumental art project - a great frieze illustrating Tasmania's rural life & history, carved in Huon pine.
Each panel is 3 metres high & when completed will be 100 metres in length
He has called it "The Wall" & is a work in progress

Definitely has the WOW factor
The people & animals have an amazing real life feel to them, as if they could step off the wall & talk to you
Just one of the most amazing things I have ever seen
