After leaving Di's place we headed inland via Cressy, Poatina (old hydro village) & up the very steep climb, hairpin bends to the Central Highlands
Poor old "Witchwae hardly got out of 1st gear" but she finally made it to the top, where it flattened out onto the plateau
We could see these bushfires had been very recent & you could still smell the ashes etc
Great campground down by Lake Albert & we found out there from some campers that the fire went through about 10 days ago
