St Helens

After leaving Mathina, back through Fingal, St Marys & down  St Mary's Pass

Narrow winding road, I'm sure I held my breathe all the way down for approx 20mins

BIG HIGH 5
when I reached the bottom of the pass

History room/useum at the information centre in St Helens

I think this brooch is soooo beautiful
Presented to a nurse from Hobart in World War 1

Tin Dragon - story of the Chinese Miners who came in 1880's & mined tin in the rugged mountains around St Helens & further north

St Helens is a large seaside town, with fishing fleet & lovely beaches in easy reach
