Fingal

Headed off on a scenic drive west from St Marys towards Fingal (20kms)

 & Avoca (25kms from Fingal)

Not a lot at either of the towns

In years gone by there was a saw mill on this site, so I guess this is a furness from back then

 

This will be our campsite tonight, free power, doesn't get much cheaper than that!!!

Next little village up in the mountains is St Marys, decided to stay here couple days, free camp @ recreation reserve & $2 hot shower

Elephant Pass & Pancakes

Up early, packed the goodies away & headed up Elephant pass to the famous
Elephant Pass Pancake Barn for breakfast

 

20 minutes up the pass

 

BEST PANCAKES EVER!!!!!

Breakfast was well worth getting up early & making the trek up the pass

Bob - egg, cheese & bacon
Me - chilli con carni
& a pot of tea for 2 & $40 later!!!

Definitely worth the expense & experience overlooking the valley

Lagoon Campsite

This is home for next couple nights, beautiful spot, although a bit windy down on the beach

 

Most of the campers with kids, have packed up & headed for home, as school goes back next week.
That means all these lovely spots will be kid free & full of GREY NOMADS
