Callington Mill - Oatlands

Callington Mill, Australia's only working 19th Century Windmill

 

Callington mill 1837 has recently been restored and is the only working example of a Lincolnshire style windmill in the Southern hemisphere

 

 

 

 

Colonialists first started settling at Oatlands in the 1820's, a decade before the founding of Melbourne

When we arrived back @ the waterfront & were greeted by the

 

"Bikers Xmas Toy Run"

Here comes "Santa"

 

The bikes just kept coming, all up around
3000 filled every available spot along the waterfront

 

 

Oooooops I think this bloke forgot to put his Santa suit on !!!!!

Arthur's Circle @ Battery Point

Just a short walk from the waterfront, up a steep hill to Arthur's Circle.

We discovered a lovely row of houses built in a circle around a lovely common

Salamanca market - Hobart

Drove back into Hobart this morning, time to catch up with my sister Robyn & her partner Arthur. They have come to spend a week with us at Wyndham Seven Mile beach resort, about 20kms from Hobart

 

Will be great to see my sister as I haven't seen her, since we were in Sydney last year in November
